Keeping in view the decision of the GOverning body of the CBSE board, the examination from Academic Year 2018-19 and onward would be conducted as per the remodeled assessment structure explained below.
A: Remodeled assessment structure effective from the Academic year 2018-19.
1. Scholastic Area.
The system being implemented from the academic year 2018-19 and onward will aim at providing a holistic view of the entire syllabus and enabling the student to become regular, sincere right from day 1 to the last month of the academic session.
Between the half-yearly and final examination there shall be 3 unit test carrying 10 marks each. First in the month of july before the half-yearly examination and the the secound in the month of November and January Before the Annual examination. These examination shall provide ample opportunities to the students to keep themselves updated and accurate with the syllabus. The gradually increasing portion of contests would prepare students acquire confidence for appearing in the board examination with 100% syllabus. The school will take the avarage of the best two tests for final marks submission.
Notebook Submission (5 Marks):-
Notebook Submission as a part of internal assessment is aimed at enhancing seriousness of student towards preparing note for the topic begin tought in the classroom as well as assignment. this also address the critical aspact of regularity, punctuality, neatness and notebook upkeep.
Subject Enrichment Activities (5 marks) :-
These are subject specific application activities aimed at enrichment of the understanding and skill development. These activities are to be recorded internally by respective subject teachers.
For Language :- Activities conducted for subject enrichment in languages should aim at equipping the learner to develop effective speaking listening skills.
For Mathematics :- The listed laboratory activities and projects as given in the prescribed publication of CBSE/NCERT be followed.
For Science :- The listed practical works activities may be carried out as prescribed by the CBSE in the curriculum.
For Social Science :- Map and project work may be undertaken as prescribed by the CBSE in the curriculum.
Co-Scholastic Activities (5 marks) :-
• Co-curricular Activities are very essential for the holistic development of the students. Education aims at all round development of a person. Co-scholastic activities Play a significant and effective role in this regard keeping in view the curriculum of the Board the school shall introduce a variety of soft skills like debates, declamation contests, literary clubs, writing articles for school magazine, dramatics, Sports, Cultural Activities etc to promote discipline, sincerity, good behaviour values to develop strength and foster unity and co-operation. The internal assessment comprising 20 marks (10+5+5) entails objectivity and a structured approach. For a holistic assessment the teachers are expected to make it an effective tool.
•Assessment scheme for class nursery to IX.
•The school shall replicate the same assessment model as described above for class X for Academic year 2018 - 19.
